Sources for Native Wildflowers and Herbs
"Where can I find it?" is without doubt the most frequently asked question. Following are a few places you can contact if you are looking for native wildflowers and herbs. They are in no particular order. Some offer more unusual items such as grasses and ferns - so if at first you don't succeed, try all of 'em. To create the list, I used a combination of personal knowledge, references from friends, mention in the Georgia Botanical Society newsletter, and website searches. Since I live in the southern mountains, I have concentrated on sources for the plants most familiar to me - roughly the southeastern mountains and piedmont. Many of the same plants also grow in the midwest and north. I don't endorse any particular supplier and have had only minimal contact with a few, so shop at your own risk.
